The magic of the *runway*

Magical Monday to you!
In my photo this week, I share the evening gown I modeled for my first runway fashion show experience. It was a fun project for the new moon cycle and solar eclipse energy. The show had several models, both male and female which was quite fun. The theme was evening wear and the routine was alot of fun.
This is a great time to try explore some new activities with the new energy from the solar eclipse. I found it to be very energizing to meet and work with new people and model a great dress.
In the last week of August with the warm weather, its a great time to enjoy the last part of the summer as we move into labor day. I broke a fin on my paddleboard. The fin couldnt be replaced but a larger fin was added so my board will probably be more stable than before. Im excited to give it a try.
So this week, I invite you to enjoy and embrace the final week of summer and embrace new activities which bring you new people, new experiences, and fun energy into your life.
Great joy to you!
Bliss always, Cfayla

the energy of *oils*

Magical Monday to you! In my photo this week I share two of my favorite *oils*; Frankincense and Oregano.
Frankincense is great for relieving long term stress and anxiety, reducing pain and inflammation, and boosting immunity. I use it before and after my hot yoga practice to help my flexibility and to enhance the benefits of peace and calm from the yoga practice.
Oregano is well known as a natural alternative to antibiotics. I have always loved the smell of oregano and it also reduces inflammation and boost immunity. I like to use it for minor skin irritation also. It was used in ancient Greece to heal wounds.
So this week I invite you to try frankincense or oregano to enhance the energy of peace and calmness in your life and give a little boost to your immunity.
Great joy to you!

The energy of *resilience*

Magical Monday to you
and Happy New Moon! In my photos this week, I share a few of the fun things that help me *bounce back* from the unexpected challenges of life. In this past week, Ive experienced a wonderful mini break in San Diego as well as a major challenge.
The mini vacation was wonderful and magical and a nice change of energy and pace. The challenge was a bolt of lightening.
So, what helps to bounce back from a major shift in life that is unexpected?
One of my favorite ways is to continue to enjoy good, healthy, nutritional food. I love this kale and avocado salad and it is one of my favorite items for dinner. In addition to good food, while I was running on the beach and after I finished my meditation; I was walking along and looked down at just the right time to see this beautiful green glass heart right before it got washed away by a wave.
Its a perfect little heart and sends a message of love and hope. Its amazing how little guideposts can come ito your life just when you need them the most.
So, I feel the energy of resilience is simply a combination of keeping up with healthy habits, energies, and food in spite of challenges. And, in addition, to be able to embrace lifes little treasures as we enjoy this magnificient journey we call life.
So this week, I invite you to enjoy the new moon energy of creativity and new beginnings and to enjoy the energy of *bouncing back* through keeping your positive flow of energy going until it comes back around for you.
Great joy to you!
Love, love love!

The energy of *rest*

Magical Monday to you! In my photos this week, I share one of my favorite ways for the energy of rest and rejuvenation; being on the beach. These shots were taken after I finished my early morning paddleboarding.
There is a wonderful energy to rejuvenation and rest; allowing your body, mind, and spirit to have fun, take it a little slower, and enjoy the energy of *being*. Summer is always a wonderful time for enjoying some time just *being* easy and allowing life to bring some new magic your way.
On Sunday, I slowed it down by taking a beach *walk* instead of a run and sitting down and watching and listening to the waves.
There is something so amazing to gazing at the ocean or any beautiful part of nature and listening to the sounds.
So this week, I invite you to enjoy the energy of rest and take some time for yourself to have fun and rejuvenate.
Great joy to you!
Love, love, love!

The energy of *fireworks*

Magical Monday to you and Happy 4th of July! In my photos this week I share two of my favorite summer holiday foods: chocolate covered strawberries in fourth of July colors and an egg white omlette with spinach.
I have always loved the energy of fireworks; the beauty and creativity of seeing the color combinations have always given me such positive energy and a feeling of celebration for life and for the fun of the summer. And also, the energy of happy times with family and friends; creating magical memories.
Last night there was a wonderful fireworks display at Santa Monica pier that was really fun and exciting.
So, this week I invite you to enjoy the energy of celebration this week for the fourth of July and summer time fun.
Great joy to you!

The energy of *challenge*

Magical Monday to you!
In my photos this week, I share the energy of *challenge*. In the first photo, I feature a beautiful Greek Salad from the Malibu pier minus the feta cheese. Its a beautiful salad but it was quite a challenge deciding on an item on the menu I wanted. It seemed like everything menu item had something I couldnt or didnt want to eat, so I finally decided to go with the challenge, order the closest item, and not eat the cheese.
Earlier in the day, I had the challenge of wrenching my hip as the wind blew my paddleboard into my hip and wrenching it. In my second photo, you can still see me smiling even after this happened.
I went paddleboarding anyway and did some yoga last night to help stretch out my hip. I could barely walk but somehow after stretching out my body with some yoga, I woke up in fairly good shape this morning. Meaning, I could actually walk, just had to get up slowly and carefully.
Sometimes in life we have those times and days when we get challenging energy and it could be so easy to give up or become negative. Instead, I just accepted what was happening, did my best to work with the challenge, and today the energy lifted and I feel wonderful in spite of a sore hip. I feel a wonderful flow of positive energy even though I had to modify my yoga practice because of my hip.
So this week, I invite you to flow with the challenges in life; do your best anyway, and hopefully keep smiling. The energy will shift in a more positive way by accepting what is happening and moving through it.
Great joy to you!
Love, love, love!

The energy of *time out*

Magical Monday to you! In my photos this week, I share the energy of *new wave*; my phrase for embracing and trying something new. In the first photo, a budding saxaphonist made an impromptu performance at a concert I was attending. He was so joyful and his energy captivated the audience including the jazz guitarist who welcomed him into his concert. This was such a great example of joyfully trying something new regardless of the outcome and enjoying the experience.
In my second photo, I had the experience of a new restaurant in the midst of the June *gloom and chill* in LA. So many times we can have some of our best experiences embracing something new and different even in the midst of an energetic *gloom and chill* in our lives. The *Bottle Inn* had a great heart of palm salad and I had a wonderful table in the front just right for viewing the ocean before sunset. The entire adventure was unplanned after an ordinary shopping trip. I opted for a little adventure and decided to drive south through Manhattan Beach and Hermosa Beach for a change of scenery. And the beauty of the unexpected brought a delightful refreshing energy to me just by having a change in pace and taking a *time out* for a little new fun.
So this week, I invite you to experience something new and take a *time out* from the ordinary and embrace the extraordinary all around us.
Great joy to you!

The energy of *sound*

Magical Monday to you!
In my photo this week, I share the two gongs used in the gong meditation *sound* bath, I attended on Sunday.
Today, I am in the 9th day of a healing and rebirth fast and I decided to do the gong meditation as part of my fast.
The energy and sound vibration from the gong clears away negative energy and emotion. During the first part of the gong meditation it felt very intense. In the last 15 minutes I felt much lighter, more relaxed, and at peace. The entire meditation was 50 minutes and I felt like I could have gone longer.
My fast has been going well and I define that by saying Im still doing it as opposed to quitting because its too hard.
It has been very intense; Ive felt alot of emotions come up and have taken the extra time to release them. I have felt exhausted almost every day with surges of energy.
Overall, I feel I have much more clarity which was one of my main goals in doing the fast. Ive still been working out; running, hot yoga, and meditating. Thats been a challenge.
My original goal was 10 days. Now that I approach the completion of the 10 days, Im going to extend for 14 days and see what additional insights come to me.
So this week, I invite you to explore the joy of sound whether its just to relax or meditate.
Great joy to you!
Love, love, love!

The Energy of *being in the flow*

Magical Monday to you!

In my photo this week, I am at the Pantages theatre in Hollywood for *An American in Paris*; a wonderful musical about post war Paris. The dancing was wonderful and it was truly a magical evening. I was also fortunate to eat a wonderful *tapas* meal at Cleo restaurant right around the corner.
Everything seemed to flow together at the last minute to make this magical evening come together. I was able to get great seats on the day of the event and able to have dinner without reservations. It was one of those times when the event seemed to come together effortlessly.
And this brings me to the energy of adventure and allowing your desires to come into existence by going with a positive flow of energy. I began having the desire to create that special experience earlier in the week and remained positive even though the tickets didnt materialize until the last minute. In fact, the tickets werent together but they were close enough that someone was willing to exchange one of our seats so we could sit together. The restaurant experience also happened at the last minute and the timing was just right. There were no seats within 10 minutes after we arrived.
So this week, I invite you to dream some fun into your life and allow a positive flow of energy to come to you and bring you a fun adventure.
Great joy to you!
Love, love, love!

The Energy of *slow living*

Magical Monday to you!
In my photo this week, I share the *Architects of Change* program hosted by Maria Shriver featuring experts in the *slow living* movement. From food to sexuality, to slower living in general, the focus of the discussion was a movement for change to allow people to embrace a slower, yet healthier way of living.
The energy behind slow living seemed to center on the aspects of meditative practices, taking the time to cook healthy foods and eating meals together, and the energy of connecting in meaningful ways with everyone around you. It also featured the aspect of letting go of material things that no longer serve you and carving out *moments of peace and bliss* for yourself even if you life is still hectic with many responsibilities.
According to Maria, many people are having discussions about a slower pace of life giving them more meaning and joy. As I listened to this lively discussion, it resonated with me to focus on creating those moments of bliss, joy, and healthy living into our day as a process for creating more sustaining, positive energy in our lives.
So this week, I invite you to focus on creating those little moments and pockets of slow living, joy, and fun in your daily life.
Great joy to you!
Love, love, love!
